R14-9 is getting ready to have a new election to fill vacant positions in leadership roles for the local. The vacant positions to be voted on are the Vice President for Professionals and Vice President for non-professionals. The nominations are in, the position letters for those who chose to have them are out, and the ballots should be coming out fairly quickly. I would appreciate your involvement in deciding who you want representing you to management. I can say with conviction, that employees NEED fair representation, now more than ever. The past two years have been a little rough for employees and DPG. The local continually draws new members due to management/employee conflicts and concerns about their jobs. There is Strength in Unity, and numbers. We are always looking for new members who want to participate, either by being a union rep, or helping out with running the website. I appreciate all those who participated in the last election, and took the time to fill out the ballot and mail it in. We welcome suggestions. Please participate in the upcoming election.
